  • Facts
The claimant bought a “personal” return train ticket from Paris to Amsterdam from the French national train company, SNCF, through the internet site of another train company, Thalys. As the ticket holder no longer wished to travel himself, he attempted in vain to exchange the ticket for another ticket which could be used by anyone in its possession. The decision on appeal had ordered the SNCF to reimburse the claimant the price of the ticket.
